01Definition
What are coins?
Coins are the paid credit on ChillHub. You buy them on the site, they sit in your balance, and they are used when you do something that is not covered by a free match. They are the way the site pays for itself, since live video for people all over the world is not cheap to run.
You do not need coins to arrive, to look around or to have your first calls. Think of them as the second chapter.
02Timing
When do I need them?
At two moments. The first is when you want a new match and have no free match left: a new match is paid for with a free match if you have one, and with coins if you do not and no Reward Center claim is ready.
The second is a call that carries on past its free time. A match begins with free time; if you keep talking past it, the call continues on coins, and a notice appears in the call before that happens. If your coins run out while you are talking, you are asked to top up and the call ends.
When you buy coins, the price is shown before you pay.
03Free comes first
What do free matches and the Reward Center cover first?
Your first matches and the ones you claim afterwards. The order is always the same: free matches, then Reward Center claims, then coins. The page Is ChillHub free? lays this out with a table, and how it works shows where the Reward Center sits in the flow.
Claim from the Reward Center before you reach for coins. It is easy to forget, and it comes round several times a day.
04Paying
How do I buy coins safely?
Buy them on ChillHub and nowhere else. The coin store is inside the site; you choose a pack, see the price, and pay through the payment step shown there.
- Check that the address bar says chillhub.chat before you pay.
- Start with a small pack. You can always buy more, and it is the simplest way to avoid regret.
- Note the date and the amount of each purchase. Support will ask for them if there is a problem.
- Never read out or type a card number to another person on a call. Payment happens on the payment screen only.
05Scams
Can I get coins from other websites?
No. Coins come from the coin store on ChillHub, and free matches come from your first visit and the Reward Center. There is no third source. Any website, video or message promising a coin generator, a hack or a secret code is after your login details or your card.
These offers tend to look generous and ask for something small: "just sign in here to receive your coins". The sign-in page is a copy, and what you type goes to the person who built it. If someone on a call offers to send you coins in exchange for a favour or a payment elsewhere, end the call and report them. The safety page has the general rule on money.
06Before you spend
What should I ask myself before I pay?
A few honest questions are worth asking yourself first. Have you claimed from the Reward Center today? Is there someone on your follow list you could talk to instead of looking for a new match?
If the answer is still "I would like more matches now", that is what coins are for, and there is nothing wrong with it. If something goes wrong with a purchase, write to us through the contact page with the date and amount.
